ECRITUR SPONTANE

If the is on their side I bet they’re ignoring it on purpose,
blaming each misfortunes on the
I don’t think I would ever understand y’all
Life revolves around questioning yourself
Without any true meaning or end
Find something that would give you a purpose
And my mind can’t reach all of your ideas

I had a conversation with a patron long ago
My voice was , submissive
I was scared for nothing
They said I’m quite nice for a black person
I’m ain’t. Bottling up emotions

Since you were born, you first lesson
Don’t speak to loud, be innocent
Respect the law, don’t be a victim
You’re a target, Be compliant.
I try to read to understand
My mind’s a mess, such frustration

It ain’t pity party I’m trying to bring to light
It’s a statement, true facts on life
Yet If it’s making you uncomfortable
Then you should question yourself
Question the upbringing that saw you grow
And how much of a good person you truly are

Because you’re not a person
Nor a one, nobody is
It’s a spectrum and you’re all in
And after all, we’re all humans

I’m listening to this song for the time
Mother I sober, guess I feel high too
Delusional, young and ready to pick a fight
Can’t barely keep up with the truths
I feel like I’m missing some cues

Momma said we were never broken
I got it easy, unlike those around us
Yet she complains, I think that she lied
Unspoken problems are our family ties
Acting like we are better,
While eats you alive

People pumping my head with perspectives
Emotions, restrictions and believes
I feel like the saviour I never was
I shouldn’t endorse something I can’t finish

My mind drifted away again
Lot of thoughts but nothing is getting clearer
The cycle recycling itself
I don’t pray but I would
If it was enough to save myself
